Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Lima . We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Night in Lima.
Day 2
Today, we will visit pucusana , it is a fishermen town great place to see and photograph Red-legged, Guanay and eoretopical Cormorant, The pretty. Inca tern, Humbolt Penguin, South America Sea Lyons and many more the we willd drive to pantanos de villa.
Night in Lima.

Day 3
We will take the first flight to Cusco in order to give us plenty of time to explore Piuray Lake, which is over 3,500 m. in elevation.. Around the lake we hope to find Speckled, Cinnamon, and Puna Teals; Andean Ruddy Duck, White-tufted and Silvery Grebe , Wren-like Rushbird, Puna Ibis, and the spectacular Many-colored Rush-Tyrant. If we remember to “look up” amongst all the spectacular scenery . we may add Andean Swallow to the list as well! After all this wonderful birding we will head for Ollantaytambo, stopping for a lunch of traditional Peruvian cuisine on the way. Arriving at the Pakaritampu Hotel in the afternoon, we’ll have plenty of time to bird the gardens, which should yield Green-and- white and White-bellied Hummingbirds, and look for the. spectacular , Bearder Mountainneramongst others. Night: Pakaritampu Hotel.

Day 4
Today, we will visit a new reserve with nice Hummingbird feeders we hope to see Sword-Billed Hummignbird, Greena and white and White-bellied Hummingbirds, Shining Sunbeam, White-bellied Woodstar, Chestnut-breasted Mountain Finch, Golden-billed Saltator, Creamy-crested Spinetail, and hoping the the endemic White-tufted Sunbeam plus many more,
After lunch, we will take a short walk to the train station where we will take a 2.5 hour ride to Agua Calientes. The train travels along the Urubamba River where we will look for Torrent Duck and White-capped Dipper on the fly.

Day 5
We will take a bus to the famous archaeological complex of Macchupicchu, where we will take a tour of the ruins. While exploring this area we will look for Inca Wren and Mountain Caracara, among others lunch there and we will take the train back to ollantaytambo late in the afternoon.

Day 6
We will get an early start heading up to Abra Malaga Pass, at 3.900 m. elevation. On the way we will stop to look for the endemic Chestnut- breasted Mountain Finch and Creamy-crested Spinetail. We will also have a good chance at adding White-tufted Sunbeam to the list. Before actually reaching the pass we will stop to look for Streak-throated Canastero, Andean Flicker, and Andean Goose. Once across the pass we will look for a Polylepis forest where we hope to find White-browed and Giant Conebills, Tit-like Dacnis, and the endemic Parodi’s Hemispingus. After thoroughly exploring this area we will start driving back to Cusco
Night in Cusco.

Day 7
Cusco/Wayqecha Biological Station. Our overland journey begins at 3,400m (11,150 ft.) with an early departure from the highland city of Cusco. Today’s destination is the lush cloud forest region where the Andes fall away to the Amazon basin, and thus will be a day of scenic drama and striking contrasts! We will stop several times in the intermontane valley to look for four species of Sierra Finch (Mourning, Peruvian, Plumbeous, and Ash-breasted), Puna and Rufous-naped Ground-Tyrants, Slender-billed and Common Miners, Plain-breasted Earthcreeper, and hopefully Andean Condor. We will enjoy a box lunch overlooking the valley. Upon reaching Acjanacu we hope to find a mixed flock containing Scarlet- bellied and Chestnut-bellied Mountain-Tanagers, Golden-collared Tanager, and Black-throated and Moustached Flowerpiercers. At dusk we will look for Swallow-tailed Nightjar. Night: Wayqecha Biological Station

Day 8
After an early morning bird walk and breakfast we’ll drive to El Mirador (Union Lookout) to look for mixed-species flocks of Blue-necked Tanagers, Paradise Tanagers, Bush Tanagers, Slaty-capped Flycatchers, Slate- throated red stars, Olive-backed and Mountain woodcreepers, Mountain Foliage Gleaners, Blue-banded and Chesnut-tipped toucanets, Crimson- bellied and Golden Olive woodpeckers, Andean Motmots. El Mirador is a great place to spot raptors as well. Back to the lodge for lunch and time to enjoy the garden, home to at least six species of hummingbirds, the Booted Racket-tail, and Wire-crested Thorntail. We’ll set aside some time to visit a lek in the cloud forest to observe the Cock-of- the-Rock, the national bird of Peru. We’ll get a chance to watch the colorful males dance to attract the females.
As dusk , we may see one of the most rare and unique birds in the world – the Lyre-tailed Nightjar. Nigh Cock of the rock
Day 9
We’ll have another chance to visit the Cock-of- the-Rock lek before we continue our journey in the cloud forest – through trees, waterfalls, and dramatic ravines – to the Andean foothills and bamboo forest. Here we’ll look for species like the Dusky-cheeked Foliage-gleaner, Red-billed Scythebill, Chesnut-backed Antstrike, Foothill Antwren, White-backed Fire- eye, Yellow-breasted Flycatcher, Stripe-chested Antwren, and Cabanis Spinetail. We’ll also see the Golden-bellied Warbler, Ornate Flycatcher, Cinnamon-faced Tyrannulet, rare Peruvian Pietail (endemic hummingbird), and Fine-barred Piculet (endemic). Night Villa del Carmen.

Day 10
Today we will visit a new reserve, Pico de hoz great place with Hummigbird feeder and banana feeder Buff-tailed Sicklebill, White-necked Jacobin, the are feeding Amazonian Antpitta, King vulture , Rufous-sided Crake and many more .

Day 11
After breakfast we’ll embark on a long boat trip downstream to the Madre de dios River to. manu. Wildlife center.
On the way to. Manu wildlfiecenter , we will stop at Private reserve to look for the Butterfly Coquette and the continue to the Lodge.

Day 12
At 5:00 am we head downstream to the Blanquillo Macaw lick. After a forty- minute boat ride and thirty minute walk we reach this amazing roofed platform. Breakfast is prepared and served as we watch the spectacular show of macaws, parrots and parakeets at the lick. After lunch at the lodge we’ll climb up to a forty meter-high canopy tower on top of a huge Ceiba tree. In the tree tops we watch the macaws fly at eye level and gaze at the spectacular landscape far below.
We will explorer the trail at lodge in the afternoon .

Day 13
We are back in the boat and off to visit a beautiful Canopy tower and oxbow lake with a resident family of Giant River Otters! We’ll spend the morning observing the otter family and bird watching before returning to our camp for lunch. Our afternoon trip takes us to Otorongo Lake. This oxbow lake has a small canopy tower for fantastic wildlife observation. The surrounding forest is pristine and will provide many wildlife sightings. Back at our home base we gather at the central lodge for dinner and stories of the day.

Day 14
After breakfast we journey down the Madre de Dios River for three hours to the gold-mining town of Colorado. A three-hour van ride takes us to Puerto Maldonado night in Puerto Maldonado.
Day 15
We will be birding around Puerto Maldonado looking for the white-Throated Jacamar. And many more we will have time to have lunch in town and then transfer to the airport to take our fly back to Lima. You will have to book and overnight fly we will leave you at the airport End of the services.
