Itinerary
Day 1
Night in Barranquilla ( you can do a pre or post trip of our Santa Marta Trip)
Day 2
We will drive from barranquilla to Valledupar and then to Perija reserve on our way we will be birding to our. based. Lodge in the perija mounitains.
We will be lookin for the Rosy-thrush Tanager, Perija Brush-finch, Rufous-shafted Woodstar, Paramo seedeater and more.
Night:Glamping Mashiramo.
Day 3
Today, we will drive to the Sabana Rubia, it is where we willl look for the some Great Perija endemics like, Perija Thistletail, Perija Metaltail, Perija Antpitta, Perija Tapaculo, Perija starfrontlet, and many more bird Red-cretsed Cotigan, Andean Pygmy Owl, Rufous-breasted Chat tyrant .
After a good day, We will drive back to our lodge.
Night Glamping Mashiramo.
Day 4
We will try to get the spcies that we missed before and then drive to jagua de Iberico.
Night in Jagua de Iberico.
Day 5
Today, we will visit a private finca No hay como dios looking for the Perija Parakeet (Pyrrhura caeruleiceps), also known as Todd’s parakeet ,Whooping Motmot, Black-crowned.
Tityra, Coppery Metailtail, Keel-billed Toucan, Rufous-browed Pepershrike, Orange-crowned and yellow Oriole, Pale-eyed Pygmy Tyrant,Crimson backed Tanager and many more.
Night in Jagua de Iberico.
Day 6
Birding back to Barranquilla
Night in Barranquilla.
Day 7
Transfer Out.
